Recently I've been having trouble meeting my goal. For this week, I'll be walking over my usual daily goal to catch up. I'm about 35, 000 steps behind schedule, so I'll have to be hitting about 20, 000 on weekdays for roughly 2 weeks. My feet don't hurt right now, so I'm gonna go for a run right now as a way to press on toward the goal!

Steps taken to date: 199640
Total distance traveled for this goal: 99.8 miles

My stomach started hurting around 16000+ steps, probably unrelated. Fairly uneventful day, so I don't have much to say about it. Nonetheless, it was a good day. I will press on.

Day 12 of Project America
Current long-term goal: walk 2880 miles in a year (equivalent to walking across America)
Conversion ratio: 2000 steps/mile
Steps taken to date: 180915
Total distance traveled for this goal: 90.5 miles
Steps taken today: 18269
Today I didn't have to go for an extra walk. I went to school, walked back home, went to school again, had Physical Education where I had to run a mile then play basketball. By the time I walked home from school the second time, I had about 10, 000 steps. Then i had an appointment in a different city, so I traveled another 6000 steps or so getting there and back. The other 2000 came from just getting around the house and other little things I did throughout the day. Oh, also, my feet didn't hurt. I'll continue to press on toward the goal!

Day 11 of Project America
Current long-term goal: walk 2880 miles in a year (equivalent to walking across America)

Strategy: Walk 17900 steps weekdays, 20900 steps on Saturday, rest on Sunday
Steps taken to date: 162646
Total distance traveled for this goal: 81.3 miles

My feet hurt. In fact, they've been hurting every day I exceed 18, 000 steps. However, it has been hurting less as I continue to run and walk. Figuratively speaking, if I started in Los Angeles, I'm now 25 miles away from Palm Springs. I have a long way to go, I'm only about 3% done. I just need to press on toward the goal!
