November is the National Novel Writing Month, so alongside writing my novel, I will attempt to post each chapter I write daily. Basically, this will be a sci-fi novel, in which Seraphina, an alien, tells about how she and her brother, Oliver, became close friends of the Prime I. Below is a teaser, not canonical, but it does carry a similar setting and characters. Basically, I'm putting it here so you can get a taste of the kind of universe you are about to set foot into if you continue to read I, Propitiator.
As soon as he possibly could, Oliver dialed a twelve-digit phone number and was suddenly beamed onto the A.R.S. Jingken, an I scoutship. Oliver exhaled a sigh of relief; it was good to be among other Ies that knew who they were. He walked quickly through the hallway, heading for the Tipir Room. However, along the way, a Cyaf came out of the ship’s comm. panel and began to dance with him. Now the Cyafs were mostly loyal to the Prime I, who led the Arashad Resistance, but if you are going to learn one thing about Cyafs, it’s that they come and go as they please, regardless of the practicality of their timing. So this particular Cyaf that Oliver crossed paths with, wished to dance with him. At first, Oliver tried to avoid the Cyaf, but the Cyaf would not let him pass, so he danced an elegant, ballroom-like dance, you Terrans wouldn’t know unless you have seen it so the details shall go unspoken. The point is that the dance was luxurious and captivating to such a level that Oliver was startled to hear his phone beep and became embarrassed that he had lost track of time to the notorious Cyafs.
I hope you've enjoyed reading the excerpt and will join me as we dive into this developing novel in the following month.
